the last twenty two years, Barbara has maintained a successful career
in the visual field. Working as a freelance Stylist on
the East Coast and regularly travels to various locations to shoot.
Barbara specializes in Soft Goods Styling; her impeccable attention
to detail may be seen in every still-life work, bedding, tabletop,
and curtain display she creates. Popular Club, Silhouettes, PaintWorks, Yves DeLorme, HearthSong, The Quilter, Plow and Hearth, Jeld-Wen,JCPenney
and Best Mfg. and Franko Mfg. name just a few of the advertising, catalog,
and editorial publications where her work has been featured.
Whether it is domestics, floral design, kids styling, or propping,
Barbara's innate sense of style and balance is advantageous to clients
and Art Directors alike. Her team-player attitude and dedicated work
ethic suits both large and small studio environments. |
Barbara's
visual career began with a degree in Retail and Promotion. Upon graduation,
she served several years in the retail industry where she was hired
as the Visual Merchandising/Fashion Coordinator for JCPenny. Barbara
was then recruited to fill a corporate position as the Womens Visual
Merchandising Specialist for the U.S. Navy where she excelled in her
position. The shift from fashion to home furnishings resulted
with her experience as a Visual Merchandiser for Fortunoffs. Her
passion for design and vast industry experience eventually led Barbara
to a staff styling position with Lewis Studios in N.J. Advertising
and catalog clients included Home Decor and RTW companies, such as:
Congoleum, Tarkett, Bali Blinds, Lenox, Porta, various wallpaper and
kitchen cabinet manufacturers, Toys R Us, Pennsylvania House, Hunter Douglas, AT&T, and many
more industry giants were regular clients.
